'hip hop soul'- the collage is undoubtedly rap- grimy, heavy, nocturnal- the singer is undoubtedly skilled/soulful, but displays no desire to transcend the hip hop foundations she's been given. rather there's a chill atmospheric synthesis more often favoured by only the most boom bap loving emcees of this era.
