In my mind, the liveliest, and most interesting Gang Starr record. Guru does his thing- conscious when he needs to be, pissed off, romantic, and even devastatingly bleak (fittingly on Betrayal with Scarface). Four years after Hard to Earn, Premier successfully moves their sound from the early 90s east coast sound they epitomized, and into something incredible and lush before shit got weird for hip hop in the 2000s. Moment of Truth is Guru at his peak, and also one of the great producer albums
